Over 75% of our business comes from repeat clients or direct referral. More than 80% of the candidates we place come back to us when they next need to move. Those figures matter more to us than any other measure of what we do.
Fame Recruitment was founded by Anne Abraham in 1987. What began as a secretarial agency in North West London has grown into a specialist consultancy covering eight sectors, with a client base that spans Blue Chip organisations, SMEs, professional services firms, and not-for-profit organisations across London and the Home Counties.
The business has grown through referral and recommendation, not volume. We do not send dozens of CVs. We send three or four, and every one of them has been met, assessed and matched to the specific brief. Clients who have worked with us for ten, fifteen, or twenty years will tell you this approach has not changed.
Every candidate we present has been interviewed by us before their CV goes anywhere. We take their permission before sending their details. We prepare them for interviews, give honest feedback, and stay in contact after a placement is made. That is not exceptional practice in recruitment. It is basic practice. It is also, unfortunately, less common than it should be, which is why candidates come back to us.
We use applicant tracking, market intelligence, digital sourcing and candidate management tools to work efficiently, but the core approach remains personal: every client is understood and every candidate is treated as a person.

Anne founded Fame Recruitment in 1987 with a clear view of how a recruitment business should operate: honestly, personally, and with real attention to the people on both sides of every introduction. She has spent nearly four decades building a business that reflects those principles.

Outside the business, Anne is a trustee of several charities in the UK and internationally. Her involvement in the not-for-profit sector is longstanding and genuine, and it informs the way Fame Recruitment approaches charitable and communal sector recruitment.
Anne remains actively involved in the business and continues to manage client relationships she has built over decades.
Senior Recruitment Manager
Mazal is the driving force of Fame Recruitment today. With over 20 years of recruitment experience, she leads the day-to-day running of the business, manages the majority of client and candidate relationships, and sets the standard for how the team works.
She knows the businesses she works with in depth. Their teams, their cultures, how decisions get made, what they have hired well and what they have got wrong. She knows the candidates on her books as people, not entries on a database. That accumulated knowledge is what allows her to move quickly and accurately on a brief, and to make placements that last.
Mazal uses modern recruitment tools and technology throughout her work. Applicant tracking, market intelligence, digital sourcing and candidate management all feature in how she operates. She uses them to work more efficiently and reach the right people faster. None of that, however, changes the fundamental approach: every candidate is spoken to, every client is understood, and every placement is followed up after the start date to make sure it is working for both sides.
The motto at Fame Recruitment is placing people first. Mazal lives that in practice every day. It is what has built the level of trust the business has with the people who come back to it.

Every candidate we present to a client has been interviewed by us first. We do not pass on a CV without having spoken to the person behind it.
We send a small number of well-matched candidates. Clients can make a decision rather than a shortlist of a shortlist. Quality over volume, every time.
We always seek a candidate's agreement before sending their details to any client. They are informed of who will see their CV and why.
We do not hide the less appealing aspects of a role from candidates, and we give clients a direct assessment of each person we put forward. No softening, no spin.
We prepare every candidate for interview. We coach them through the brief, the business, and what to expect. This is part of the service, not an optional extra.
A placement does not end when someone starts. We check in with both sides to make sure it is working. If it is not, we want to know early enough to help.
