Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd — Financial year ending 2025
Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd has an annual turnover below the £36 million threshold that triggers a statutory obligation under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We nonetheless publish this statement voluntarily, in recognition of our responsibilities as a recruitment business and in support of our clients — many of whom operate above this threshold and look to their supply chain partners to demonstrate equivalent standards.
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a profound violation of human rights. It takes many forms, including trafficking of people, forced labour, debt bondage, servitude, and domestic servitude. Those most at risk are frequently vulnerable individuals who are exploited through deception, coercion, or abuse of power.
Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd recognises that all businesses — regardless of size or sector — have a responsibility to identify and address the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within their own operations and throughout the supply chains through which they operate.
This statement sets out the steps we have taken during the financial year ending 2025 to understand, prevent, and respond to modern slavery risks in our business and supply chain. It is made in the spirit of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed and updated annually.
Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd is a specialist recruitment business based in London, placing candidates into permanent, fixed-term, and temporary roles within the accountancy, finance, and professional services sectors. We operate the websites famerecruitment.com and fameaccountancy.com.
We are registered in England and Wales (Company No. 01882551) with our registered office at 12 Russell Parade, Golders Green Road, London NW11 9NN. We operate exclusively within the United Kingdom and place candidates primarily into roles with UK-based employers in the accountancy and financial services sectors.
By the nature of our sector — placing qualified professionals into regulated financial services environments — our candidate base and client base are both low-risk for modern slavery. However, we do not consider any business to be without risk, and we actively maintain the practices described in this statement.
Fame Recruitment Consultants Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to ensuring that neither our business nor our supply chain knowingly facilitates, supports, or benefits from these crimes.
We never charge candidates fees for our services. Candidates are free to withdraw from any process at any time without penalty.
We conduct right-to-work checks on all candidates we place, in compliance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
All temporary workers we supply are paid at least the National Living Wage, and we ensure pay is made directly to the worker.
We expect our suppliers and third-party partners to share our commitment to ethical business practices.
We conduct our recruitment activities in accordance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, which set out baseline protections for work-seekers and prohibit a range of exploitative practices.
As a specialist recruitment consultancy, our supply chain is relatively limited compared to businesses that manufacture goods or operate across international markets. Our principal third-party relationships include:
We do not operate internationally, engage in manufacturing, or source goods from high-risk supply chains. We believe our supply chain exposure to modern slavery risk is low, but we nonetheless take reasonable steps to understand and mitigate that risk.
We have assessed the areas of our business most likely to present modern slavery risk. Given our specialist focus on placing qualified professionals into accountancy and finance roles within the UK, our overall risk profile is considered low. The table below summarises our assessment:
| Area | Risk level | When we rely on it |
|---|---|---|
| Permanent candidate placements | Low | Qualified professionals in regulated sectors; robust right-to-work and identity checks conducted |
| Temporary worker supply | Low | Workers are paid directly by Fame Recruitment; AWR compliance maintained; no fees charged to workers |
| Technology supply chain | Low | Established, regulated UK and international providers with published modern slavery policies |
| Office and facilities supply | Medium | Lower-cost commodity supply chains can carry risk; we prefer UK-based suppliers where possible |
| International candidate sourcing | Low | We do not actively source candidates from overseas or operate in high-risk geographies |
We will continue to review this risk assessment annually and will update our practices if our business activities or supply chain relationships change materially.
We take the following steps to identify and mitigate modern slavery risk in our operations and supply chain:
As a recruitment business, candidates are at the centre of what we do. The following protections are fundamental to how we operate:
We are trained to recognise indicators that a candidate may be a victim of modern slavery or labour exploitation, including:
Any such concerns would be escalated internally and, where appropriate, reported to the relevant authorities.
We are committed to ensuring that our team understands the risks of modern slavery and knows how to identify and respond to potential concerns.
Our approach to training and awareness includes:
Given our size and the low-risk nature of our sector, we consider ongoing internal awareness and clear policies to be the most proportionate approach. We will consider formal external training as our business grows or if our risk profile changes.
We encourage anyone — whether a candidate, client, supplier, or member of our team — to raise concerns about potential modern slavery or exploitation, without fear of reprisal.
At the end of the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised. If you wish to be removed from our database at any time, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
